Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress "Goes Green" with Florida Green Lodging Program Designation
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) welcomes Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress to the Florida Green Lodging Program (as of July 17, 2008). The voluntary state initiative provides the lodging industry with technical assistance, encouraging hotels and motels to adopt cost-saving "green" practices that reduce waste and conserve natural resources.
To become a designated member of the Florida Green Lodging Program, hotels must follow certain green practices. These practices include, but are not limited to, water conservation measures through low flow plumbing fixtures, a linen reuse program, energy efficiency achieved by installing ENERGY STAR® appliances and programmable thermostats. The waste reduction criteria are met by providing the opportunity to recycle, purchasing items in bulk, purchasing recycled materials and by recycling ink and toner cartridges. All designated properties must also use green cleaners and high efficiency air filters.

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Ranked Top 100 Resort By Condé Nast Traveler
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, located in Orlando, Fla., was recently named one of the top resorts by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine. The 2010 "Best in the World" Readers' Choice Awards ranked the resort as one of the Top 100 U.S. Resorts in the magazine's November issue.
Since 1988, Condé Nast Traveler has selected a group of readers to take the Readers' Choice Survey, and this year, more than 25,000 responses were submitted. Resorts were rated on the following criteria: Activities/Facilities, Food/Dining, Location, Overall Design, Rooms, and Service.

$45 Million Guest Room and Ballroom Renovation
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, one of Orlando’s premier resorts, is pleased to announce the completion of the resort’s $45 million guest room and meeting space renovation.
The legendary resort completed its extensive transformation with a modern restyling of all 750 guestrooms and suites. Infused with bold color and innovative art work, the new guestrooms boast sleek furnishings, high-tech amenities and spectacular views of the resort’s private 21- acre lake, tropical nature preserve and nightly fireworks from nearby theme parks. Each guestroom is smartly designed with emphasis on conservation, guest comfort and convenience. The bathroom was designed with style and functionality in mind. A large backlit mirror and optimal vanity along with a glass-enclosed shower surrounded by opalescent splash tile with a water-conserving Toto rain shower all assist in submerging guests into total relaxation.
The newly redesigned Regency Club lounge offers fantastic views during the day and breathtaking fireworks by night from the large outdoor balcony in the evening at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The 952-square-foot premium club offers unparalleled deluxe amenities, serving breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in a key accessed lounge. In the Regency Club, guests can take advantage of unique extras such as a personal concierge, private business center with computer capabilities, flat screen LCD TV and daily newspaper service.
In addition, the 24,960 square foot Grand Cypress Ballroom and pre-function space has enhanced to assure all the conveniences and accommodations important to successful meetings.
